Top Gear Challenge: E30 3-series Convertibles Face Off
BIMMERPOST NEWS Top Gear Challenge: E30 3-series Convertibles Face Off In the latest Top Gear episode, the hosts test three 325i convertibles in their always unique and entertaining way. Clarkson, Hamster, and Captain Slow take 1987, 1988, and 1989 convertibles and compare whether the 3 samples from roughly the same build time, factory, and manufacturing process have held up and perform the same… through a series of zany tests of course. Here is Part 1 of the segment. All other clips showing the remaining portion on youtube have been disabled, but it's not difficult to find the entire episode to view if you know where to look.

Cool, repping the old school
As a former e30 owner who had 2 e30's stolen from me I did cringe a bit watching the thief test though, that was horrible. jeremy's 325's the nicest looking tho... black grilles now to find the rest of the episode but knowing how top gear fukcs cars up i somehow don't want to for this episode |

dont get why 94K miles is alot for a car..... my e90 has 64Kmi and by the time it is as old as those e30's it will have alot miles....
nice looking cars, I think i'd buy one if there was a nice condition car but modded to modern standards somewhat... |

It's interesting the stuff the forensic search came up with.
That's so true, though while buying a second / third hand car usually one just looks up service records, history, mechanical condition and overall cleanliness but never does it cross one's mind to go into thorough details as to what might have been done in the car. |

Never bother with youtube when it comes to Top Gear. Either streetfire.net for streams or FinalGear.com for torrents.

With the F30 getting larger and the future 1 series coupe in doubt, I wonder what the future of the small fast BMW is. Perhaps a 2 series will be revealed to us.

This was my first BMW, (now on my 6th one). I still love to see one on the road that's been well taken care of... I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for this model. It's the one that started the love affair...

Funny - the forensics was a clever twist to what is becoming a hackneyed formula, the 'TG we buy old cars under a budget of < £x and put them through some tests ...'
