Maid Etiquette

So I'm back in NY for the week and the maid comes ever couple weeks to clean the house. My switch to home cooked meals, excessive alcohol consumption, and random meal times has led to some abnormal stools. Some soft, some large, some like chunky vomit poured into an air cannon and fired just above the water line. One of these brown vomit chunk farts I unleashed just happened to land above the water line. While 80% slid down and washed away, there is this 20% that just adhered to the bowl. Some chunks and some brown paint looking stuff. No stink involved. Its the day before the maid comes. Now should I go down to the basement, get the toilet bowl cleaner and brush, and go up and clean it my self or is this a hazard that comes with the job?

No fucking way!! I was just going to start a thread somewhat like this, but I will just piggyback onto your thread.

Let's say the maid (who is still in the house, but cleaning somewhere else) has already cleaned the bathroom. You go in and unleash all hell, flush twice, but there is still some residual fallout. Is it ok to ask the maid to comeback to clean the toilet?

no. i leave all of my toilets looking like brown death and she doesn't mind a bit. i have 4 toilets, too. i like to mix it up and use different toilets based on where i am when the surprised face hits.

not maid, but the hot tub cleaner comes once a week. a couple weeks ago, i guess miss tonight misplaced her underwear in the hot tub. he leaves a bag with a note attached, underwear inside, "i found this in your filter. you should probably double check next time because these can clog up your system. i went ahead and added a more chemicals this time so give it 24 hours."

I would clean it. It's disrespectful and classless. (depending on how big it is.)

I literally clean BEFORE our cleaning ladies come, lol.

Do people really still say maid?

I wanted to clean it in a way, because I felt bad, but then again we pay her to clean, and I'm sure shes cleaned worse. I mean shes walked in on me hugging the toilet before and I've told her not to worry about it, I got it. So in the scope of things its not all that bad.

It also depends on if "she does that." maybe sit down and ask her what her services include. We had two gals a few years back that wouldn't change the bed and clean behind furniture.

Well... I mean they clean the bathrooms and they cleaned the poop. I personally think they suck. They just dont clean very well and half ass a lot of stuff so them cleaning the bowl is the least they can do. I mean they certainly aren't on their hands and knees scrubbing the shower or the kitchen floor.

They should be! I'm a picky bitch and want all floors done by hand. Ours are getting lazy lately, I think it's because I'm too friendly with them.

I wish they did. They just do a shitty job in general. I mean its just my parents most of the time and the place is usually very clean. Oh well. They dont steal.

Lol, always a plus. I trust ours completely. They've been doing my parents house for 10 years and ours for 5 or so. I don't know what I'd do if they stopped cleaning houses! Well, I guess I could clean. Eh, no.

What kind of prices do you guys pay for a maid? I hardly have time to clean with work and browsing OT all the time.
