Checking how much bandwidth users on a router are using?
I live with 4 other guys and our internet is constantly slow, to the point where we had to call the cable technician to see if our modem was malfunctioning. He came and said it was in perfect condition.
We all suspect its the guy who is constantly torrenting but he says that he only uses it occasionally and it's not him. Is there anyway to check how much bandwidth the users on the router are using? I use a d-link dir655 router. Thanks! |

No easy way, unless you want to install something like DD-WRT firmware (which does not support your particular router) and would only show total bandwidth usage.
Your choices are rather limited. 1. install a bandwidth monitor on his computer. 2. put up a Linux box with Ntop utility.
