My Nissan's headlamps (9004 halogen) lasted 11 years for the right, 13 years for the left. Once they got replaced, however, the bulbs seem to last only a year or so. Prolly USA made v. Mexico made I guess. My mom's CR-V, which has a H1, lasted 5 years. Don't see why a BMW should last any shorter or longer imho....so at least 5 and maybe 10 or more.
