Broken power window switch! Warranty??

My damn power window switch broke, for the last week it was really loose and I really had to play with it to be able to roll the windows back up, then today it just came off, i put it back in but it's still very loose and I can only close the window with it, one of the little tabs is broken..

Took it to the stealership and the SA Told me it's probably not covered under warranty and I have to pay 160$ for a diagnostics fee.. He also mentioned they have to check whether any sort of liquid was spilled on it or if it was damaged or mistreated? And that it would take several hours. He also said i would have to leave the car there and get picked up.. it really seemed as if he didn't want to help me what so ever and just wanted me to leave..

Everything works fine it's really just the damn switch that got loose and just came off. I dont see how I could abuse a switch for a window..

This CPO warranty is junk!!

I have to use a damn screw driver to roll the window up now...

I literally just sold a replacement switch for $120, but go to tischer to get a replacement. And install it yourself it is super easy takes about 5-10 mins. The hardest part is just getting the door trim off, after that the switch just pops right out!

I was hoping warranty would cover that though
I was going to try another dealer..

I basically have to replace the whole piece haha

They dont sell it separately.
Gotta buy the whole thing.
I dont think it costs to much.
Pop the whole switch assembly out of the door and get the numbers off it.
There are alot of different variances that change which one you have to buy. Its not necessarily, i have this car, this is the one I need.

I had my entire unit replaced under CPO, but that was a while ago with my 328. The paint was peeling, but the unit still worked. I guess it just depends on the dealer.
