I need ideas for a beater car / truck
truck would be nice, but kinda expensive. Something not horrible to drive, reliable and under maybe 7K... or 10K for something nice.

I have an 01 Civic DX Coupe that I love and wouldn trade for the world....
and its got a shit ton of space you wouldnt believe it! as for a truck, id look at a Toyota late 90's model... cant think of the name now but theyre tanks!

what do you do with a beater car that would be so terrible to do with the bmw? ya spend all that $ on a fun car, then drive a beater.. rain or even snow won't hurt todays cars.. if you're worried about mileage and losing a couple K on the resale down the road, why spend 7k now on another car? take the 7k and mod the BMW and DRIVE it !

not afraid of putting miles, just want my car to last...plus for some like myself, i drive 70 miles roundtrip and thru so cal so that would put a massive beating on my car....

anything honda. i still have my honda accord which was my first car 13yrs ago. 250k miles later its still going strong. ive bought/sold 4cars since then and still have my accord. gets great mileage and has never been to the shop other than maintanence.

so you don't want to drive your car due to a long commute yet are considering a truck? they don't run on sunshine...
if you're mechanically inclined and have garage space, I'd look for a mk1/mk2 gti, e30, original mini, (964) 911, etc. something older, light, fun to drive, fun to work on. otherwise, I think the only logical solution is to buy a cheap, dull, boring car which will make you hate life. |
