Shouldn't the original receipt you signed when they picked it up have their contract on the back??

Pay NYCGP half of the cars value and he'll make sure you get a brand new one after yours goes missing.

We had one of cars transported from the NJ to NM and those companies really don't give a fuck. Ours had stone chip damage all over the hood. The douche here just shrugged and said it goes with the territory, sign for it or they would keep it and charge us a daily storage fee.

Go with Wakka's suggestion and pay a little extra for the guy who told you to go fuck yourself to disappear with your old one. Capiche?

OP has a real reason. They drove and dented his car. You OTOH, paid for an open trailer, and that does come with the territory as he said. Its all about positioning. I gave my guy a few dollars to put it up top behind the wind dam and taped my hood and bumper up.

Good point!

OP what was their excuse for driving 120 miles in your car? Do you have proof that they did? Sounds like someone was doing a little joy-riding.

I had an issue with my company. The original people I talked to lied to me and said they owned the truck picking my car out. Turns out they didn't and they were just people who scheduled the stuff for other companies. The car took over twice as long to be delivered when I shipped it. I called the original company and told them I want a partial refund for their services as the contract I had was with them and they breached the contract and therefore the agreed upon price is no longer valid. After some work I got them to take $100 off their share and then I got in touch with the owner of the trucking company and dealt with him. He told me that he gets X amount from the driver and the rest is the drivers money. He cut me a little break from his end and told me to deal with the driver if I wanted any more of a discount. Driver gave me some sob story about broken axles and storms and whatnot when he arrived 2 weeks after the car left NY. I told him I didn't feel comfortable paying him the full price. I think I paid ~600 of the original $950 that was promised when all was said and done.
