oil level measurement not working after software update
Hi,
After the dealer updated the software on my car due to the HPFP recall, the oil level measurement idrive screens gives me an error. I'm getting the same error as reported by this member via these screenshots: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...2&postcount=54 I imagine this is not really an oil level sensor error, but just a software issue. Has anyone seen this issue and been able to successfully resolve this with their dealer? (I searched the forum and could not find an answer.) Issues like this make me miss having a good old fashioned dipstick! Thanks, - Joe

Have them re install your software. Does your satellite radio still show up? That's what happened to me when they updated mine.
For some reason 2009 and later idrives are getting messed up in the software update. Just have the reinstall and you will be fine.

I got word that I just need to ask the dealer to recode my car, not reinstall the software. I believe this is related to the dealer improperly coding my car for the newer BMWs with the COMBOX, which my car does not have.

Had the HPFP recall & software update done & now the green colors on the TPMS & oil level are weaker & all washed out--not as bright as before. My car is a 09 335i with idrive.
