plastic creaking noise when going over bumps

Hey all, this is a little hard to explain but on my e90 whenever i go over a bump or unlevel road or lets say from road to driveway, i can hear plastic what sounds like creaking or cracking inside my car. It sounds like it is coming from all the doors. very annoying, anyone know what it could be?

Rubber weather stripping in the door sills. Condition the weather stripping with a vinyl and rubber conditioner and wax your door sills and it should go away. The creaking you hear is the sill rubbing against the rubber.

+1 with regards to the rubbing against the door frame.
I used WD-40 and that just cleared it up. Sounded like a new car. There was some concern whether WD-40 was OK for use on rubber. Checked the WD-40 web site and confirmed that it was OK for treating rubber.

I had the same problem since day one, dealer replaced so many parts for me but each time only keep silent less than a month and noise will come back again.

It's about 20 months I had the car since new, dealer replaced the rain channel twice on both side, the gloss black trim beside the door, the rubber weather strip, but the noise still there. I tried to use WD40 and the noise completely gone, but dealer said I shouldn't use anything on them because it will only make it worst. That is why they changed the rubber weather strip for me last coz they claim I putted WD40 on them.

Anyways, noise still there and it's annoying it happen on a car at this price.

I wouldn't put oil on rubber door seals. Get some seal dressing instead.

my dealer's shuttle x5 has the craziest creaking. I thought there was a tent set up on the backseat, but i checked and alas the car was empty 'cept for me and the driver.
I couldn't help but think i'd have to sell my car if it made that much noise.

Get some "Gummi Pflege" - that really keeps the door seals nice and supple. Gets rid of the creaks and I think it seals out road noise better too!

I just tried some Gummi Pflege on my car, didn't work (but I dont think the doors are the issue in my case - wish it were that simple). Nonetheless, I think the "real stuff" is not the einszett, it's the Autosol. Search bavauto.com for AS 6500.

I took my car in for service and the sheet said they lubed all the door seals. It fixed my problem.

There is a service bulletin that put a piece of felt where the entire shift console meets the verged dash. Right next to the ashtray. I had the most annoying creaks and once I did it it is now gone.. Btw it the passenger side of the console

Driving me nuts!

So glad someone has talked about this already. I've had my E90 for only a short while and its only a few months old. But before I picked up the car from the dealership in Parramatta I noticed they have a habit of parking their vehicles on the top deck of the building for them to 'SUN DRY'.
Sure enough eversince I've had the car both the drivers and passenger side door card compenents, but mainly the internal door sills and the door seals, seems to squeak quite inrusively (even with the stereo on) even over any midly bumpy road (the Msport suspension doesn't help!).
After paying this sort of money for a car like this its an absolute disgrace! We also have an Audi A5 sportback of roughly similar cost but not a single peep from it since the day my partner had it and we've had it for over a year now.
I'm tempted to hand the Bimmer back to the dealer and say "You bloody sundried so you bloody well fix it!" but just in case they piss it up even more I was wondering before I do that - has anyone tried any of the above mentioned remedies and have they had any success with one or other of them more than the other?
Cheers muchly in advance!

Just clean the doors really well, the seals everything. I had two problems the seals and the glass was making noise. So you have to put down the windows clean the top off the windows then clean where the windows go at the too of the doors. Don't stop till its perfectly clean. Now my car is quite maybe a little too quite
