335is recalls
Was at the dealer earlier today trying to get an oil change. The service adviser mentioned to me there are two recalls for the 335is. One for DCT reprogramming and the other is something about a retaining clip for the cooling hose. Anyone know about the 2nd recall?
On a side note, I tried to get out of there as soon as possible because the adviser first said I have a M5 then while he's checking the recall he said I have a 535 then a 330. Scary.... anyway..just want to check if anyone knows about these. thanks |

When did you get your 335is?
I picked mine up just over a month ago. I wonder if its part of some recall or not.

Here is the coolant hose Service Action(not a recall)
SUBJECT Service Action: Check Coolant Hose and Replace if Necessary MODEL E89, E90, E92 and E93 vehicles produced from 07/23/2010 to 07/30/2010 SITUATION The vent hole of the coolant hose coupling, located on the driver’s side of the radiator, may be blocked. This blockage will prevent the cooling circuit from venting properly into the expansion tank. AFFECTED VEHICLES This Service Action involves E89, E90, E92 and E93 vehicles which were produced from 07/23/2010 to 07/30/2010. In order to determine whether a specific vehicle has had this Service Action completed or is affected by this Service Action, first check the B-pillar label for code number 576. If code number 576 has been punched out, the campaign has already been performed. If code number 576 has not been punched out, it will be necessary to utilize the "Service Menu" of DCSnet (Dealer Communication System) or the Key Reader. Based on the response of the system, either proceed with the corrective action or take no further action. CORRECTION Check the date code on the coolant hose coupling and replace the hose if necessary. PROCEDURE Blocked couplings were manufactured on 7/15/2010. Check the date code on the coupling (stamped on the left side of the coupling when looking down at the hose from the front of the vehicle) and if the date code is 100715, replace the coolant hose. Refer to Repair Instruction RA 17 00 005 for replacing the coolant hose.
