335is availibility
I am looking to get into a new car in 2012 and I am smitten with the e92 335is....However, I am unsure whether this model will be available when the new models hit the floor.
i read that the coupe new model will not be out till 2013, so does that mean I could still order a 335is in 2012? Thanks for the help. I have already learned alot scouring old threads |

The coupe always stays for one more year when the sedan changes to the new body style.
For ex, 2006 coupes were e46, while 2006 sedans were e90. e92-93 will stay for 2012. |

^ What he said. E92/3 will exist for next MY. Then there will be a one year break and likely no 2013 model 3 series coupe. New coupe will come out as 2014 year and then M3 the following year. I mean, if the model releases happen anything like they did since E36 and E46.

I believe the OP was asking if the 335is model (specifically) will be out for the 2012 MY. I guess the OP is wondering whether it is some limited edition model or something.
OP, my assumption is yes it will still exist in 2012, but I am not in the production department of BMW so I cannot give you a solid answer.

Umm wasn't that exact question answered more than once?
Unless the 'is' doesn't come back... depends on this years sales I am sure, since all it was was a tuned N54... maybe they will tune a N55 next year?

The M Series is a bit much for my daily needs, and the 335is seems to fit what I want to a T. This would be my first BMW really my first sporty ride, so the 335is will be in my dreams until then |

I havent really thought of that yet, but here is my situation and feel free to chime in with thoughts....
I am thinking a base model without Nav and doing ED. With a base model and the ED savings the price difference between the 335i is pretty much nullified. I am looking for Space Grey with the Saddle brown leather seats and a manual transmission. I was thinking of leasing for 36 months and then depending on the enjoyment/reliability of the vehicle paying the lump sum. Due to the maintenance costs and repair bills I would want to add the extended warranty and maintenance program at this time. Anyhow, long story short....I am wanting to get into a daily driver that will be just as impressive and enjoyable 15-20 years from now and is just as relevant. I was looking at the new cadillac CTS Coupe (I have a CTS sedan now) and the Audi A5, but was left thinking that those models will become dated in a few years, while the 335is design is classic. New to the forum, so bear with me on my lack of knowledge. |

i totally understand your situation...
and agree 100% WRT the timeless design...my buddy has an 01 330i coupe and its in great condition and looks even better.. i have little doubt that after driving the car you would want to get rid of it in a couple of years unless you are of the type that likes change remain patient...weight the options ( as you are doing) dont think you can really go too wrong either way
