Need your advice - BMW Perf Exhaust vs AR down pipes
Hi Guys,
I'm having a dilemma here. I'm supposed to get my BMW Peformance Exhaust for the 335xi installed tomorrow Friday (got it for $1538 Cdn installed plus tax) but I met my new BMW tuning shop today and dropped off the car for the KW coilovers install and he showed me the AR down pipes (DP) which will cost around $1140 installed + tax (4 hrs install). The DP will give me addn'l 90 HP and the exhaust around HP and a great sound. Which would you rather have? Or would you push for both if you can afford? I heard the DP would give you a better tone compared to stock so why change the exhaust? I'm thinking it's like a waist of money just for sound alone if I go for the exhaust. I listened to the exhaust personally and it sounds great and better than DINAN and other good exhaust out there. Thanks for your opinion. |

Wrong section. But AR DP's are the way to go....better gains and you still get sound. Thats a good price for installed DP's, should only net you 15-20 hp though (you typed 90)
BMW Perf exhaust sounds great, but only do exhaust when you are completely done doing bolt ons as it will give you very little gains.
