Sunroof question

E90 sedan...is this normal or is something wrong...?

The sunroof won't operate unless the car is running...the windows can still be put up or down but in order to close the sunroof (even from the just crocker ope position) the car has to be started...very annooying to have to re start the car when you realize your sunroof is still open...is something wrong or is this normal? Thanks

mine works as long as the car has power on. as in the key is in the ignition. think it might even work after i take the key out. but after i open the door, sunroof stops working.

One of my cars does this, too. You can stick the key in the door and it will roll up the windows and close the sunroof as well so you don't have to start the car again

You can push the start/stop button (without holding it or pressing the brake/clutch) and your entire electrical system will power on. Everything will work, engine not running. Push in the key (+ take it out) to disable everything, as if you were taking it out after shutting off the engine once you're done.

Also code the key fob to close all windows/sunroof/mirrors by holding the lock button. This has been useful for me as I no longer have to wait after parking to roll up windows/sunroof. I just walk away and hold the button and the car does it for me! Coding section
