This sounds really good! It's not to loud. Not too quite..search BMW e90 magnaflow 14815 and there should be some videos on google

How tough is the install? Does it involve cutting the oem muffler out and welding new one in place ? How proper the weld be on top of the pipe as it would be tough to get a neat weld i it has to be done without removing exhaust assembly from the car?

Just take it to a muffler shop to install it. You can get the muffler on eBay cheaper.

14816 has bigger tips which look a lot nicer.. but there is skepticism as to whether it will fit...

I would like to order one of these myself.. my first choice being the 14816.. but if it doesn't fit then 14815 it will be.

I've seen people use the 14815, never heard of anyone using the 14816.

14815's tips are big enough trust me I had this on my previous car. The 14816 will look rice as hell. I'm planning on getting it again if I don't go for the the BMW PE. I LOVED this muffler. It was exactly what I was looking for. Very nice little groan at low rpms and it doesn't sound like a stupid honda at high rpms. I bought it for $170 online (greyhoundperformance.com) and had it installed for $80 at Meineke.

Also do the sound resenator delete on just one...not both, just IMO, if you do both you may get load cabin rattle...

Do a search, because there are some good pics out there and some that show you how to bend the pipes for a perfect fit.
