Accident voids warranty?

So i've searched this question on google, i think i've found the answer, but the answers are not bMW related. So the previous owner got into a accident, which resulted in the replacement of the left headlight, new front bumper, and new left fender. I'm trying to get my headlight washer fixed, but BMW keeps telling me that they shouldn't be fixing a car that has been damaged. As far as i'm concerned, they can only void the warranty if the car is salvaged, or totalled, correct? Please give me some insight

If the defect is due to materials and or workmanship it Should be fixed under warranty

If it's due to the accident it should be fixed (properly) by the collision repair

if everything was fixed by the dealer then the new oem parts should cary a 2yr warranty and i believe a 1yr warranty on labor. but the accident does void the new car warranty on the parts affected. the same as if you run over a curb and then want to claim warranty on your suspension.

i had a similar issue where because i painted my front bumper the dealer said the car was in a accident (it wasnt) and didnt want to warranty the headlight. eventually got it covered at another dealer tho.

Well this is what happened. The BMW mechanic told me that the bumper was damaged, so the headlight washer cover wasn't sitting flush with the bumper. This part has been replaced 3 times, each time it has fallen off again. They even damaged my bumper trying to put this in. When i got home i investigated why it wasn't flush with the bumper, and also why it kept falling off. I just made this thread minutes ago. And yes this exact piece came off my car---take a look

I've been wondering why my headlight washer cover has been falling off every time it gets repaired (at least 4 times).
Long story short, i finally found out.

electrical tape? come on.

There are myriad reasons why a warranty could be voided and they are clearly not limited to a salvage title.

Any non-warranty repair can result in this happening.

There is really only one possibility IMO, which is to pay to have the problem corrected. I've been giving this some degree of thought and it seems as if you are stuck between a rock and a hard place unfortunately.
