Rattle/Rumble - slowing to come to a stop and once there...
Hey guys,
I've searched - I promise!!! HA! I have a 2011 e90 LCI. I didn't notice this rattle/rumble until this morning after parking the car outside and NOT in the garage and the weather here dropped to 41 or so.... DESCRIPTION: Rattle/Rumble, sounding like a few small (heavy) metal pieces in a can and shaking it in a medium pace... WHEN DOES IT HAPPEN?: When I would slow the car to come to a complete stop - starting around 10mph and continuing once stopped. DOES IT EVER GO AWAY?: Yes, when the car warmed up to around a 235-245 temp (on the gauge). The sedan is parked outside again tonight - so I'll update this if it does it again and then if it doesn't when parked in the garage (not that it really matters - as I have a feeling it directly related to being cold from sitting outside- the question is - WHAT IS IT and where is it coming from). I'll also pull over and pop the hood tomorrow if it does it and try and get a recording... If anyone has an idea of what this might be from just my description, please let me know. I read on here about a waste gate rattle - so I'm going to read more posts about that...but wasn't sure that was my issue.... Thanks Guys! -WoW |
