Statement of Purpose

So I'm trying to write a statement of purpose for graduate school and I'm stuck. I'm usually very good at essays but I'm getting nowhere with this. Any advice guys/girls?

What type of program are you entering into? What brought you to this point? What do you love about your particular field? What are your goals after graduate school?

Going for an MBA. They provided 3 questions I need to answer: why I'm going for it, what are my goals, etc. I just wanna make a very good personal statement for I'm kinda stuck (I might be over thinking it).

should talk with your professors in the field, even though it seems like your program doesn't require letters of recommendation..but it would work best to your benefit to work with them to write this

Heartfelt statements are usually the most unique and effective.

My suggestion: give yourself a day to think about what motivates you to get an MBA (and don't say just $$$!). Think about where you want to be in 5 - 10 years. Then, think about other career paths you could have chosen, and how your life would have differed -> this always helps me think of the positives of my chosen career, and helps remind me why I made the decisions that I did.

Once you've done this, go to the course website and see what the school's mission objectives are. How do they match with yours? What are the school's purported strengths, and how do they match with the list you just made?

Hope this helps

What are you passionate about in your field? If you're not passionate about you future job, it's a waste of time and money.

Start simple just to get something on paper and then you can expand on it.

Example; I want to be a farmer because i like working outdoors with my hands and fill my lungs with fresh air as i plow a field. I want to provide freshest and pesticide free crops to every one at a low price. Etc etc..
