Original Warranty

Does anyone recommend doing anything prior to the expiration of the original 50k warranty? Should I bring it in to the dealer just to have them check it over? I am not aware of any issues now but I am at 48.5k miles.

don't know how the dealer(s) in your area works, but over here in where I am, they won't do anything unless:
1) CEL is on
2) physical symptoms that they can "recreate"

you can bring the car to the dealer to have them check it, but most likely, they will charge you for it. another option is to get extended warranty or CPO your car (for a fee around $2K?) if your car is up to the cpo spec, ie no mods, everything in good shape etc...

Just kidding, I just put 60K on mine and will drive it till it dies or I blow up the engine.

Right before my warranty expired my SA had me come in for a final warranty check of the car. I wasn't having any problems, so I wasn't surprised that they didn't find anything, but I don't know how hard they looked for problems.
