Rear Brake Pad Replacement Notes 06 325i

Changed my rear brakes yesterday, went pretty smooth.

Some notes:

To remove the caliper you need a 7mm hex bit socket.

The sensor is located on the passenger side. You must remove the wheel well lining to get to the sensor. This part was the only pain. You need to remove around ten screws/nuts.

Reset the service indicator and now it reads 49000 miles.

DO NOT wait until the cbs reads 0 miles when you decide to change the brakes. I changed it when the cbs showed 900 miles and they were almost metal to metal. Which does make sense, I thought there would be a liitle more play/tolerance in the CBS, but it looks like it is spot on.

Thanks... I have to change mine shortly. My pc is reading about 3000 miles left and the car has 58K miles.

By the way, this video helped me

The DIY on this forum for the 335 doesn't work for us, naturally, but it threw me off.
