sounds like pulling tin cans!!

328xi 1000 miles old...noticed today ,from a cold start,sounded like i was pulling a bunch of tin cans ,when i was moving only,checked underneath to see if anything was hanging.,,nothing there..sound went away after about a minute...I was alarmed to say the least. Called up my dealer but its a holiday..will wait till Monday...any ideas what the sound is??

I heard it once too. Real tingy as my wife accelerated away.
330i, 20,000 miles, @ 11 months old.

At the time though, I had my ED plates on under my real plate. I took it away and haven't heard the sound since. I periodically roll down my window when i'm in parking garages to try and hear it, but haven't heard it since.
Hopefully, it was only the plates vibrating against one another, but it really sounded like it was coming from the exhaust.

Keep me posted on what you find.
