beep every 5 mins, and shortly after turning off

So I picked up my new car on Saturday, 320i M sport E92. Absolutely love it! It's even better than I thought it would be... so smooth, nice amount of power (although I wish I had the 325 already!) and the handling is great, really impressive.

I dont suppose anyone can tell me why it beeps every 5 mins or so once turned off? Its quite loud, and you can hear it from outside the car when locked. It beeps about 30 seconds after turning it off as well, and its quite loud. I've searched the forums and seen other cases of this but with no result. Note - this isn't the hour memo.

My first thought is perhaps a low battery warning, but it has no trouble starting etc. :S

Congrats on the new car. As for the 320 to 325...I have a 325 and feel the same for 335, as the 335 driver feels for the M3, as the M3 driver feels for...

Does your car beep or make a "whirring" pump like sound? If it is an electronic beep, then I have no clue. If it is the whirring sound, it's normal.

Yeah I can imagine everyone wants the next one up! Still happy with my choice though, I just think the 325 would have a nicer sound being a straight 6, the 320 doesnt have much of an exhaust note, but then to be fair I didnt buy it to get that...

No, its definitely an electronic beep, fairly loud and high pitched. Happens 20 seconds or so after turning it off, and then every 5 mins i'd say once its locked. :S
