Reprogramming BMW keys

Hi - just bought a used 2007 328xi. It came with only one key fob. I do have extra key fobs that belong to my 2006 525xi. Does anyone know if I can reprogram one of my 525 keys to work on my 3?

I'm sure you can, but it will take a trip to the dealer and all the necesaary paperwork to prove you own the E90, and some money (probably lots of it).

You can't re-program keys. You can buy a "blank" key and have it programmed to your car.
