Nintendo DSi R4 cards

Anyone familiar with these things?

I want to get one for my kids DSi, but it is running the latest 1.4.3U kernel, and I am completely lost in all this R4 nonsense that I see online.
Can't figure out if any of them would work with 1.4.3U and don't really feel like spending $40 on something that may not even work.

I had one on my DSi and it was AMAZING. It has been a while. I don't remember about the kernel. I'm sure on their forums you can get an updated how to. It was an awesome purchase though! worth the money

yeah, it came it couple of days ago. my kid was super excited.
getting the card to work was a pain in the ass though. i had to update card kernel using old DS lite and only after that DSi recognized it

wow, didn't realize this was that old :X the tech forum here is a bit dead hehe. It's so awesome tho isn't it! I might go buy another dsi xl
