Does Such a Car Exist ??
Serious Question, as per title does such a car exist ?
Must Have Criteria: 300-400BHP (as Std). REAR or 4WD. Coupe (4 seater). Manual or “Flappy Paddle”. LSD. Non-Runflats as STD. Must NOT have: Diesel Engine. Fly by Wire throttle. DSC. DTC. Management System that adapts to style of driving. Or any other permanently switched on “safety” device that “prevents you from enjoying yourself”. Any sensible suggestions welcome. Would have thought that most cars built in the last 10 years have some form of traction control or drive by wire throttle. What about a Monaro? Probably about as "knife and fork" as it gets?

TVR good thinking! Look at the British (whats left) manufacturers - they can't afford fancy electronics and neither can they afford to make a bad car!

I had crossed my mind, but reliabilty problems put me off.
I was thinking of something more current. If I was still working in Motorsport and had access to equipment/facilities, and was twenty years younger I would do (too old and stiff to be standing on my head under dashboards and rolling around under cars !). Quote:
Good suggestion, but ideally would like a two-door coupe, traction control is OK as long as it is not "on" as default setting (pis*es me off having to remember to press and hold for five seconds every time I start up, just so I can get a decent throttle response, and cleaning brake dust off the rear wheels every day). |

I was going to say Monaro. They were certainly a 2 door coupe last time I looked. Get it supercharged or turbocharged and they're amazing. Great car.

The Monaro was only offered as a Coupe in the UK.
If you could cope with having a 4 door instead if a coupe then why not look at a VXR8 or if you can find one a VXR8 Bathurst S. Lovely supercharged V8 |
