Couldn't resist

Hello had my 335d Saloon since last October, but after buying a set of wheels from a coupe 335i owner i couldn't stop thinking about it.

I looking on ebay, autotrader then i found her, had done 43,000 miles & had some mods i would have eventually got done myself, Sports cats, Sports intercooler, Sport Downpipes, quaife differential, 370bhp remap, Hartage Springs. This car also has loads of optional extras my saloon doesn't such as Sunroof, satnav, electric heated seats, so i man'ed up & made the purchase

[/IMG]

Had her a few months & really enjoyed the car so much, spoke to my technician about what i was going to have done & decided on Upgraded brake discs & pads, Eibach Sports suspension (shocks & springs), Aerodynamic bodykit, the new 2010 tailights, BMW performance exhaust, BMW M3 DCT sports steering wheel

After he took it for a drive he informed me he was not happy with the engine rempp & would like to put his own on & garunteed me over 400BHP

so the parts have arrived & work has begun, i recived some update pics from him, apologies for the quality i will post plenty high quality shots once the work has been completed.

I am also looking for a set of Style 260m replicas et34 front & et 37 rear any help appreciated

Been thinking of an 'i' myself, if I'm honest. I may HAVE to get rid of my car sooner than I had hoped and the 335i's are going very cheap + a couple of £k's can get you near M3 power - it's insane!

Great post to wake up to. Looking forward to seeing more pics and would be interested to see if you get over 400bhp as you expect.

I'd be interested to know if the ride is any better with the new shocks and springs.. I'm getting fed up of skipping over bumps on the m25!

you should have got the Birds suspension kit... meant to be amazing for poise and comfort.

Will be interested to know how the car looks and runs after all the work?

I have spoken to the people doing the work on the car about the alloys & they inform me that the et of the OEM wheels is no good & i need et34 front & et 37 rear

Ive got a Bilstein kit on my saloon 335d & the roads round here are quite bad, i do find the driving experience much better but potholes are a nightmare thats why im looking to drop from 19" wheels to 18"s & have a bit more tyre depth

Had a call from them last night they had a few minor issues which they have resolved, the upgraded intercooler that had been fitted was making little if any difference as it was covered by bits so they have cut these away.

The job should be complete today, just the front bumper to fit as they needed to order some different bits to fit it, the steering wheel should be here today & the engine remapp will be going onto day, his engineers inform him should be looking at more torque than a M3 & slightly less BHP than a M3

Also having major problems finding the BMW style 260m Reps i desperatly want, so i am looking for some nice 18" wheels 8.5" front, 9.5" rear, any suggestions?
I have seen some Team Dynamics Jade-R that i quite like but am unsure on Silver or Black & also struggling finding a supplier with 2x18" 8.5" & 2x18" 9.5" so going no where fast, if i can find some wheels today i can go pick them up & have my tyres ordered & here for tomorrow

Why are you getting 18"? Are you ditching the 19" 230s?

Yes i am ditching 19"s, well i am keeping 19"s on my diesel saloon, but i have had to get 3 wheels repaired due to cracks & im pretty sure its down to the state of the roads round here there terrible.

Last wheel was damaged last sunday night the tyres fk'ed & the wheels cracked, so i am wanting to put a smaller wheel with more tyre depth on to hopefully save me a fortune in wheel refurbs

im looking for 18" x 8.5 et34 on the front with tyres 245 40 R18
& 18 x 9.5 et37 on the rears with tyres 265 40 R18

Then i will have 2 sets of 230's for the saloon so while one is off getting repaired i can just throw another on

Ideal offset for the E92 is ET35 all round, and might help you find the right wheels.

I'd be cautious of running your choice of tyre size on the front, with lowered suspension.
I run 235/35's with the Bilstein PSS 10's, and they (tyres) have a habit of hitting the underside of the plastic wheel arch liner,it only happens when driving over undulating surfaces, coming off my drive and over speed bumps, but it's worth mentioning.

he said he had taken her out for a test drive now the ECU update is done & the difference is immense
