Who uses their Auto options on the car?
Just wondering who uses the auto options that are either standard on the car or fitted as optional extras.
For me, I have: Auto headlight switch on (headlamp switch far anti-clockwise) Auto wipers (push right end button indicator stalk) Auto climate - press the button with auto on it in centre dash Headlamp assist (switches main beam on/off automatically) - push left indicator stalk forward I must say, I'm not normally a fan of too much auto stuff, but my car does do quite a good job for the above and I use them all the time. I'd say that all of them work exactly how I would like around 90% of the time (so 10% where there are annoying or dont work as they should). Who else uses their auto options all the time? |

I use everything, took me a while to get accustomed to the high beam assist but I like it now.
The windscreen wipers are a little too sensitive especially when in drizzle. There is on the LCI models. They replaced the rest function with the synch button for the two zones. |

how do you use high beam assist?
i use most of the auto stuff, love the auto box so smooth changing up and down the auto windscreen im not to happy with. in my old car it was flick up once for intermittent, then flick up again for normal wipe and then up again for fast speed. in this one to have the intermittent, press the led button and it has a mind of its own (not sensative for me even after turning the knob in different positions) |

Just push the left stalk away from you and you get an "A" symbol on the dash.
It will automatically switch full beam on unless you are a) following someone or b) someone approaches you from the other direction. It will then switch the main beam back to dipped. So it works from others tail lights and headlights. The main problem I have found with it is if you are following a car that is about 50 yds or more ahead and they disappear round a bend the full beam comes on, then as the road straightens they switch off. The guy in front prob wonders WTF you are doing. If it was manual full beam - you wouldnt keep switching it on/off knowing there was a car in front. But apart from that they work ok. |

That's because there is a condensation sensor on the windscreen and even when tiny amounts are detected all airflow is temporarily directed to the windscreen to clear the fogging...then normal operation of auto is resumed
