How expensive is dinan?

How much can someone guess that the dinan exhaust for a 328 will cost?

$500 for the exhaust, $500 for the name. = $1500 (Dinan Math)

ehh. the only way to find out is to buy all three and dyno them all. reality is that your probably paying more for the bigger companies because they have to make up for their overhead and staff. but thats my assumption.

I've never understood the comment about Dinan's price. A Gruppe M intake is about twice the cost of a Dinan one, an Eisenmann exhaust costs more than a Dinan one, but from what I can see neither of them are inherently better than the other. .

I care more about performance than sound...

and first class, I haven't checked in the last two days but all the website said when I DID check was that the coupe exhaust was "coming soon"

I call BS... Show me a dinan car that makes HP... Most dinan cars end up loosing HP. I used to know someone that had a Dinan S E46 M3 and he couldnt even pull on my stock E46 M3. Someone on the M3 forum posted that their dinan mods actually lost them HP.

The only thing you will accomplish with an exhaust is a different sound.

interesting, so what brand of exhaust does what it is supposed to do and increases performance? To think that someone would buy exhaust just to change the sound of the car is just beyond me.... why..??

it's all about the performance!

I changed for sound, mostly because the car had very little of it. It has made the driving experience much more enjoyable, and the car DOES feel a bit faster too by my butt dyno, even after 1000 miles of driving with it. And NO, I didnt get Dinan, I got Eisenmann. Was tempted to get RE IKON as well.

You butt dyno is being tricked by the sound of the exhaust... You cant feel a difference unless the HP changes by at least 15-20 hp at the wheels, at most you will gain 1-5 hp at the wheels. Modifying a NA car is mostly worthless since you have to spend a considerable amount of money to get minimal HP gains. If you want HP you are better off spending all the money on increasing the 3 liter motor as much as possible to say to 3.2 or 3.5 liters if possible.
