I can't help feeling the mainstream version are a bit disappointing to look at. I can see why BMW would want to play safe and not spoil the class leading accolade they already have with the 3 series. But you have to wonder how fresh the F30 will look in a few years’ time, given it looks so much like the E90. Which we have all been looking at for the past six years.

I think it looks just like an E90 v1.7 which isn't THAT bad, it's just very uninteresting.
Anyone who likes/dislikes the current car will struggle to change their opinion I would say, unless the refinements are just what they did/didn't want. The pop up i-Drive screen is likely to be cheap and nasty, if the 1 series is anything to go by. Matt |

Yep! I want one!
IMO it is a very nice looking motor. I think the E90 is and I can recall all the moans and groans when that first came out 6 years ago. Can't wait to place an order, don't think I will be able to hang about for the later M-Sport Le-Mans Blue. |

Must say, the car sounds a very attractive proposition - looks great, fantastic range of engines and sounds like it hasn't lost any of the BMWness - unlike the 5 series. But i think i'll wait until the first 3 years of depreciation has hit it hard

It doesn't do much for me, outside looks just like a facelifted e90 and not a big fan of the lights that meet the grill.
Hope it looks better in the metal and hope they get the coupe right. |
