All turbo cars can be tuned but unfortunately you just compared 2 cars of 2 completely different classes. That particular turbo 4 Kia motor will not have the same potential as an N54 nor will it be a car close to the same class as it is still a FWD family sedan.

The Kia looks way better, have you seen one up close? Sunroof goes all the way across to the rear. As far as road feel though, they have a long way to go. They might be able to take a 328 but not a 335.

I did recently drive one and i thought it was a pretty nice car. Especially for what it costs. I really liked the ventilated seats in it and i thought the panoramic sunroof was awesome but the quality wasn't nearly the same. The engine felt fine for around town driving but left a lot to be wanted at highway speeds. I personally would of considered it a little more if it was rear wheel drive or at least awd. But it did offer a lot for a $30k car fully loaded.

Seriously, wtf. Grow up. I am 19 too but I am not stupid nor reckless nor cocky. The 1 series was designed to go back to the driving feel of the E30 M3. Way to shoot yourself in the foot, leg, stomach, arm, and head.

not gonna lie, the numbers that they have for that motor is pretty impressive. Kia has been making some moves, and they have heated steering wheel, heated seats, air conditioned seats...........the fully loaded cars arent exactly cheap they are like 30k i believe. but still for all those options and a good mpg car, with some power not to bad. I think it looks pretty good to.
but alas it fwd.......id guess that most people buying it wont care to much, i mean hell ppl bought the srt4........and that things a pile of shit. o well cant compare it to bmw, but if kia is making that power that just means the standard gets set higher for everyone

also iv seen some tuned and modded hyundai gensis coupes with the 2.0t that make some pretty good power. with new turbos they can get mid 400s i believe. so maybe the kia can get some cool mods.

Sat in my BIL's Optima SX (GDI Turbo) on Thanksgiving. Given that I currently drive a 2010 Ford Fusion (328i Convertible in production), I figure I can offer an apples-to-apples comparison, though I didn't drive it. The interior is on par with my Fusion, which has the top end option package. The panoramic sunroof with power shades is huge and is nice even in the back seat, though only the front sunroof actually opens. The steering wheel has at least twice as many buttons as my Fusion Hybrid has, but is on par (in terms of buttons) with the steering wheel in the newer Fords that have the navi and stereo integrated in to the dashboard.
The back seat has plenty of legroom and comfortably sat myself and two other full size adults when I rode in it. It really does seem to be an awesome car if you're looking for a family sedan. My BIL traded in his Jeep Commander for the Optima and is extremely happy. My sister drives a 2003 325 convertible and loves it, but even she admits that the Kia is a nice car, especially for the price. (And sorry for all the Ford comparisons, I've driven a Ford since 2009 and frequented their forums, so its what I know for now) |

They are nice... But, in the end... The Kia is still a Kia.
Get out of the car... take five steps, turn around... Its a Kia. You get what you pay for.

A geo metro is a lot lighter than my 335, but I promise you it doesn't handle as well nor is it faster. Seriously, give me facts, I want to know where you got this from.
