320d: Phone & Sat Nav mounting
I'm just in the process of buying a 2010 320d Sport Plus with Business Nav / Bluetooth & would appreciate ideas on where/how I can mount my phone (HTC Desire) and TomTom 550. I assume BMW don't do a phone cradle for the HTC - Photos of installs would be appreciated

Why are you installing a Tom Tom if you have built in navigation?
(edit: I know a Tom Tom is more functional than Biz Nav, but actually using a Tom Tom if you have built in nav is a bit extreme). |

If I can only reasonably install one device I could fit them both with move clips & something like a brodit mount so I could use one or the other as required. If I can't install them & have it looking ok then I'll think of something else but if I can all well & good. |

For the phone unless you want to power it, you could just leave it in your pocket and connect with Bluetooth. |

have a look at dashmount.co.uk they do some great facia adapters which allow for mounnting then no drilling. Also brodit do cradles for most phones / satnavs.
I have done this and wired into the cigarret lighter as repalced mine with a tray instead

Thanks for the replies

The Brodit mounts are quite thick being plastic & tend to distort the dash slightly where they're pushed into joins but the ones from dashmount.co.uk look promising. I'd like to see some photos of these fitted |

Hence I always use dash mount brackets as they are metal and thinner and then use brodit cradles,
Depending on device you get option of just cradle , cradle and cig lighter plug, cradle and hard wire cables (I use these) I fit these as a sideline and have lost count of the installs

I have purchased all my phone mounts from this company for my e46, e60 and now my e92. They match our interiors and are a perfect custom mount that doesn't look out of place.
