Regen?
My exhaust has been sounding a little deeper when pulling away the past couple of days - I assume it\'s probably a regen occurring - any idea how long it\'s likely to go on for?
Thanks Nick (on a 330d) |

For me usually about 8 - 10 miles. Being an auto, if it is from a local start will hold the gears to keep a few more revs until I'm cruising. Also the mpg will go down (if running a short term average). All settles down after the mileage mentioned, and mpg builds again. There is a slight difference to the engine note and smoothness when running through gears, but nothing different once driving a steady speed.
If you run the coolant temperature, from the hidden menu, at the same time, you get an increase in temperature, which matches the other characteristics and mileage. HighlandPete |
