Car got hit ..again.

Once again my car got hit while parked. I'm the most strategic parker known to man.. but once again got hit with bad luck. (and a woman driver)

According to a witness, a woman driving a lime green SUV somewhat like a kia soul or honda element pulled out of a driveway and cut the corner too sharp and swiped the rear of my car, after noticing she hit my car due to the loud "pop" from her bumper.. she drove away. I missed all of this by like 2 minutes.

Did some work and got it out but now I'm left with cracks in the paint.

Wow. Amazing job on that. Could you inform us on how you got that job done? Looks really neat and professionally done.

Honestly, I'd return to the driveway near where you got hit, and wait for the woman to return. Take pictures of the damage to her car as well and then report her to the police for a hit and run. I'd be pretty pissed if that happened to me and someone had the balls (or lack thereof) to drive off.

wetsand, buff, and polish.

good news is that you got rid of some of the orange peel, and you also have an excuse to upgrade to mtech bumper later.

I know, the irony. Even if you pick the best parking spot some idiot manages to hit you. My strategy to parking is door ding prevention except I never park at the corner or end of rows for reasons as above.

Yea people really suck.. and as for going back to look for the woman.. this is the more detailed story. I visited my girlfriend who goes to New paltz up in (obviously new paltz) which is like 2 hours away from where I live. After i saw the damage and spoke to the witness i walked down the direction that the woman drove in and found a cop. Spoke to him and he went to search for the woman and sent a female officer to take a report. She checked the stores security cameras but you couldnt read a plate so basically it was a crap shoot. To be honest If i wasnt limited in time (wanted to spend the night with my gf) I would have waited around that area because i have a feeling it was an employee parking lot.

as for "working on it"

I simply clayed, polished using griot's grade 1-3 polishes on a random orbiter machine, and then finished with Best Of Show wax. no wet sanding or paint thank god.

I cant stand people. And yes strategically parking can sometimes really just screw you over but hey what are yaaaa gonna do. thanks for lookin
