M5 on the beach!

Anyone else seen this? From the homepage..

Awesome stuff

Only BMW would do adverts like this (Same with the Z4 art, etc).

I've driven on the beach before. It's a lot of fun.

Forgot to do the circle work though.

Its on the beach at Blackrock Sands / Morfa Bychan (where Evo mag do all their shots)

The inlaws have a holiday place there right on the beach access road and we drive on the beach often, but the missus is never keen on any handbrake turn / power slide antics!!

Are there any restrictions on driving on the beach there? I may try it out.

Supposed speed limit, but if its quiet you'll get away with more. Getting stuck is the biggest risk, or being islanded as the tide comes in!

Its 2 quid or so to take a car on.

+1

High speed Sand blasting with added salty water is never good for mechanicals.

How about the entrance to the beach... from past experience driving on the beach = easy. Crossing soft sand on the way to the beach = not so easy.

Is there a carwash nearby to wash the gunk off after?

There's a concrete slope/ ramp but it can be a bit soft for a few yards afterwards, depends if the tides been up recently.

No car wash for miles, its wales man, just wait for it to rain!
