Pick up the new car tomorrow
Well its finally arrived but seemed to take an age to get from the factory in Germany to my dealership. I am due to pick it up from the dealer tomorrow at 11 but my sales guy wants at least an hour and a half for the handover as he wants to go through all the controls and even insists that I go back in a week or so's time so that he can answer any queries lol
Gonna be a nice day tomorrow too :-) I have a mate who runs a valeting business and he is coming over to clean and wax it tomorrow afternoon. Nice early xmas pressie |

I know it's their job but I can't stand that hand over crap and insisting on showing you every little thing. When I picked my 335 up I flat refused and when we picked up the wife's 118 the sales guy didn't have a clue. He was only a few weeks in having been with Vauxhall and it was quite clear he'd had little training. It was painful.
Enjoy the handover mate! Is it an auc or brand spanner? Assume it's the N55 engine too? |

Thanks guys.
Well I picked up the car and drove it the short trip home. Will sort pics out as soon as we get some decent weather as it was supposed to be sunny but rained for most of the afternoon. The handover took two hours and my head was spinning by the time the sales guy had gone through all the I-drive functionality and BMW Connect. It was a worth while exercise as I think I remembered most of what he said but I will have a proper play with the system at the weekend. I havent really driven it much but compared to the 4-pot I had, its like a breath of fresh air. That N55 engine is so smooth and I love DCT. My Iphone 4S integrated first time and the new I-Drive with combox is incredible. I have cover art, facebook, weather reports, headline news. I even contacted BMW Connect for details of a restaurant and they sent the details straight in to the navigation system. I was a little nervous about matching mineral white against Oyster leather but it goes quite well together as the parts of the black interior break it up quite nicely and apparently for the duration of the 24 hours ithat the car spent in the showroom, the car was gathering quite a crowd. They even gave me a full tank of fuel as well. Anyway full spec as follows and I promise to sort some pics out by the weekend. E93 335i M-Sport Oyster Leather Rear Boot Spoiler DCT 19" 313's Full Media Package includes - Professional Nav - Bluetooth Phone Prep + telematics - Online Portal - Voice Control Telephone USB Audio interface Mobile Application Preparation Comfort Access Folding Mirrors PDC (Front and rear) Heated Seats Iphone 4 cradle Harman/Karman surround sound Cheers |

Sounds great, looking forward to pictures.
Which dealer did you deal with and would you recommend them? Did you manage to get a good deal as I am toying with the idea of an E93. |

Sounds fantastic.
Did you get it from Dick Lovitt? I hope their sales department is better than the service department. My new one has been back and forth to there no end cos they cocking things up. The workshop is unbelivebly crap for allowing the car to come back worse than what it went in. This has happened on 3 occasions. Also you need to change your car description in your left profile, its says "E93 33I M-Sport". |
