Not sure how the US pricing structure works but I think I'd be looking at a GTI or Mini JCW instead..?

I think they look cool. I've sat in one at the LA Auto Show and I was shocked at how roomy it was. It didn't feel like a small car. I'd definitely get it. Screw the Countryman, that this is fugly.

I think I read somewhere that they didn't sell nearly as many of those little Fiats as they had hoped for it's first year, so their future here in the US is uncertain.

yea they really have not done as well as expected.

Perhaps picking J Lo for the commericals was not the best move

I completely disagree. It felt absolutely tiny inside, and incredibly cheap. It is not worth anywhere near the price tag.

I would definitely buy a Mini over one of these.

Sharp looking car although I still think the GTI is a better value. The commercial is hilarious.

I had no idea these things were that expensive. Way too much money for such a tiny car IMO. I think you'd be crazy to choose this over a GTI if they are in the same price range.
