Codes P1553 and P1554

I have both codes active currently on my vehicle. There are multiple definitions for the codes. Has anyone encountered both of them at the same time. What fixed your issue. I also recently replaced my VANOS solenoids because i was getting a p0012 code, after swapping them it changed to a p0015 (its cam over retarded, 12 is intake, 15 is exhaust). Currently the car has limited power but I do not have the half engine light. Every once in a while the car will rev like it normally would. I am getting nothing but those 2 codes currently, no misfiring and the idle is smooth.

I am planning on buying a Bavarian Technic BT cable. So I can more accurately diagnose the car.

Did you replace them yourself? If you did you probably forgot to program/initialize the solenoids to your car. i had the same issue once and i replaced and programmed and fixed the car

Im getting code P1553 and car would not idle rough then stall. Was that what you were experiencing with both P1553 and P1554 before you replaced both? I already tried cleaning it and didnt work. I plan on replacing them also. I did get code P0015 before but it went away.

I replaced both vanos solenoids, still no fix for the codes. ATM i am waiting on a BT cable to come in so i can do some further diagnostics. If i cant find anything solid myself I will take it to BMW.

Explain the initialization process please. Should just be able to plug in and be good. What did you do to initialize/ program the new solenoids?
