USGP seating deposit
Anyone else get an email to place a deposit to secure a spot in line for seating? Is this a way to help them come up with the millions they owe quicker? Also, I understand this is a sporting event, but it's not a football game. $1000-5000 to get A personal seating license, for a seat most will only use once a year!?! This is going to turn into a price gouging event by companies like stub hub and the likes. I haven't been to a track overseas where you have to do the same thing.
Gotta love the American way I guess. |

^^ premium grandstand seating would be anything other than general admission by the way I read it, but maybe it's just me.

Also the personal license, from what I understand, is an option which is purchasable once they contact you and is not what the deposit is for.
I would imagine they are only doing this being that its the first race at the track. But I agree the price is quite steep given that you will still probably have to pay for the ticket, the 1-5k deposit just reserves that seat for you to be able to purchase.
