Unlock symbol on Key

Does anybody know why BMW uses an arrow instead of an unlock symbol on the key / fob? Seems like they have changed it on the F30 now.

they assumed that people who drive BMW can figure out that it is the unlock button, but couldnt figure out which direction the key goes in LOL
