NEW CAR at last and no it's not a Datsun this time

Well chaps.

Last week I put down a deposit on a 2010 LCI 335d M Sport in sapphire Black with red dakota leather. It's the highline and comes with the media pack (prof nav (CIC splitscreen), hifi, bluetooth) and also has the 313M alloys and heated seats amongst other things.

Here are a few pics. I'll do my own photoshoot when I have time of course

I've actually done a lot of calculations on this. Both before making the decision and in the last 2 days.

I got 16 or so in the gingermobile and so far 22 in this with similar driving.

This can take regular fuel whereas that HAD to have premium. Therefore I'm paying the same price for fuel as I was before but going 6 miles per gallon further.

Over a year (16k miles) I use 727 gallons of fuel now rather than 1000.. Which means I pay 4530 a year for fuel rather than 6300! Almost a 2k saving is not at all to be sniffed at in terms of monthy costs (150 a month)

It does in fact come very close to paying the additional finance costs - so it was a no brainer for me.

I could have gotten an older one and been into profit of course but that's where the heart decision took over from the head after much umming and ahhing.

I absolutely love this car

I so nearly went for the one from yourselves at the tail end of last year - but in the end it was still an extra £100/month over a good used one. If the Sytner network had've had a low mileage one with the right spec I'd have come straight back to you. This was the first one I'd seen that ticked every option I wanted with the low mileage and just felt "right" in about 5 months of searching.

I'm a very happy bunny today, anyway...

I *only* do town driving. That said; you're right. As anyone who's been to an E90 meet can attest to.. I'm right up there with carlosfor aggression/speed heh.

Interesting that I am hoping to be picking up a new 3 series in the next week or two as well - I guess people come back eh?

Looks a great car. As this will be my first 'day to day' car on finance, I wondered if you would mind sharing some figures with me? Could be PM if you like....

I'm interested in list, deposit, monthly payment, term and balloon payment if you would share them - I want to know if the deal I am looking at is 'normal' as £400 ish PCM SEEMS a lot to me (but then again I suppose spending £25k outright as I have before might seem a lot to other people.)

So, just trying to get perspective.

Anyway looks great, we could put your car and mine next to each other (if I get the one I am looking at) and have some great photos.
