Cyclone Gonu is in Oman!!!

The hurricane already hit the eastern part of Oman, and now it's on its way to the capital Muscat!!

the eastern region is currently without electricity, phone lines or even mobile signal...

we are praying that it would pass in peace, as our country hasnt experienced a hurricane before...

that's my biggest concern, we are safe in the house but she can be hit by a thrown piece of wood or somthing . . .

wow thats some serious flooding. I completely know what your going through being that i live in florida and usually get a couple hurricanes a year. Does your house have a backup generator?

no we dont have a backup generator, but so far the electricity was only cut once during the storm, all we have r some flash lights and some candles "knocking on wood"

Hope everybody in Oman is ok. I have some friends working there.... be safe and hope it's over soon. I just went through massive flood in my area last february where all the power was down for a week and we were trapped in the house coz we couldn't go anywhere!

It's not that bad of a cyclone...nothing like Katrina. If you live on the east coast you see hurricanes just like it all the time.
