Dud why do BMW say service the tranny at 100k but when the car hit 100k and you bring it in and they say don't do the service caz the new oil will eat up the automatic clutch

If you do something right, you won't have to redo it. BMWs are expensive cars, and they require expensive maintenance, cutting corners might work on a Honda, but it will only end up costing you more here.

Based on the grammar you use, you are clearly a younger BMW driver. Take it to a garage, the peace of mind is worth the money.

I've had a few issues with mine. It's just expensive when it breaks. That brig said, I've had very few issues. 175k mi and I've just now hit my first major problem. From what I gather I've got some worn rod bearings and It's gonna cost me about $1700 to repair.

How much money, exactly, did you spend on a 2006 325i? Those can't cost more than $10K now Your car is almost 7 years old now, how many miles has it covered? If you purchased it used (an I'm guessing you did), you have no way of knowing how it was driven or maintained. Calm down, cooling problems are not that hard to sort out. What do you mean by 'nothing happens' when you try to flush the coolant? If you give more specific information we could give you some educated answers.

my car has treated me very well thus far... bought my 325i new in 2006 and the only problems i've gotten are leaking transmission [pan] that cost me $800 to repair, and some error codes...

it was said above; it's all about how you respect your car... and by this i mean to NOT CUT CORNERS... investing in your car means to get things checked out right and by a licensed professional (if it's that kind of problem). Trying everyone's DIY for your specific problem is not the answer... odds are there's an underlying or additional problem along with your cooling and only a shop would be able to tell you what that is. If you can't afford the bill, why did you get a bmw?

I'm sure the starving women and children in Uganda are complaining right now about how their coolant in their BMW is acting up...
