what is BMW TIS and ETK?

i saw some older posts about something called BMW TIS and ETK. what are these and how are they used? how can i get these for my 06 330i?

BMW TIS is BMW's technical service documentation for repairing BMWs. It is available (still, I think) on line at BMWTIS.com. You can pay a flat fee for 24 hours of access. You can download as much content as you want.

BMW ETK is BMW's parts documentation. It is basically what is available at RealOEM.com. Back in the day you used to be able to get pirated CD's with the software on it, but since RealOEM has come along it is not necessary.
