Full tank = how many miles?
Just did a round trip hwy drive to and from Houston (330 miles) and there were 90 miles (just under 1/4 tank) remaining on the instrument cluster.
Equates to roughly 420 miles at a 75mph average. For my daily 8-mile commute though, the consumption sucks. I dread doing the numbers for that! Just a feeler - what's your mileage when consuming a full tank? Last edited by Doctor///M; 05-03-2012 at 09:29 AM.. |

I hate filling up as much as I do... 65 bucks yesterday to fill up... at a quarter tank today. Yesterday was all highway though, so I will get over 300 on this tank.

with an un-scientific estimate of 70% highway, 30% local streets, I get around 330 miles until I'm at 1/8th and fill up. Maybe I can get 350-360 if I let the needle drop more.

Do about 50% highway and 50% city driving.

I also rarely see those 30mpg readings on the instant mpg display unless I'm coasting. Once the gas is on, it drops to at least 27/28-ish.

damn with like 90% highway / 10% city (50/50 on traffic on highway) The best I get before the light comes on is about 300-310 miles per tank.
I drive about 80 mostly. Get on it sometimes but nothing crazy. I must be doing something wrong since you guys are doing so well on MPG. Car says im doing 21.9 mpg.

i don't know if i can stand driving that way just to save a few $ to get 30 mpg, compare to some of you here, I am sure my driving will be very "mild" and i manage to do 23/24 mpg mixed, but trying to get 30, not sure if my right foot can handle that

I try not to let my tank go lower than half a tankful. I believe I save money by not letting the fuel slosh around the tank that make it evaporate faster and I always try to fill-up early in the morning when the fuel is at its densest in order to get more for my money. I try to keep as much of my money as I can.
Anybody care to chime in on the veracity of those claims and beliefs? I haven't really bothered to measure |

i average around 400miles on a tank, and thats a 70 highway 30 city split
hoping to get my valves walnut blasted to pick up a couple mpgs also i believe the less fuel in the tank the better mpg, its less weight to pull around (to the person who never has less than half a tank) |
