another one (waterpump) bites the dust
Got in my car today, got a low coolant warning. Got over to my office about 8 miles away, plugged in my code reader, got a code about water pump not working well. I see spilled fluid in the bottom of the engine bay. Filled about a gallon of distilled water to get it back to full.
Grumble grumble. Anyone know if the waterpump itself leaks when it goes? Or if maybe this is just a leak elsewhere. |

So the water pumps go on the twin turbo as well? I thought it was the HPFP's.

It's summer and getting hotter. We're about to be seeing a lot more of these threads. I've already replaced three water pumps on customer BMWs this month

Mine has 137k on it lol. I'm on original turbos too, and FBO. Whoever built my car had gotten a handjob or something that morning.

I've only needed a HPFP, Low pressure pump, and 6 injectors, plus a cleaning of the intakes. Please don't jinx my water pump!!!
