So the dealer charged me without permission...

I had a loaner car for 2 weeks because my car needed service when I bought it. I signed the rental agreement showing $0.00 all around and then picked up my car and signed the paper that said $0.00 for service. I was checking my credit card statement and they charged me $28.00....without my permission wth is that? I already had problems with this dealer and this just set it off the top, they still owe me a second key. I did fill up the loaner car with gas like how I picked if up. >:-/ Any ideas???

Have you called and asked what the charge was for? Could be a mistake, especially if the bill you signed said $0.00

I think its the principle, not the money the OP is complaining about.

Regardless of amount of money, if I signed something that said was a $0 charge and then found a charge on my credit card, I would be upset as well. If the charge was legitimate I would obviously pay it, but I would like to know what it was for...

definitely the principle, $28, $5, $100 it doesn't matter the amount you can't charge someone for something they didn't authorize. I'm 21 about to graduate college and have a son and one on the way in August so money is money. Everything I signed said $0.00 final, this dealership has been the worst experience I've ever had for buying a car they don't deserve any of my business let alone $28 that I didn't give permission too.

It is making me think of cell phone companies. They make little 10,20,30 dollar mistakes where 75% of the people won't notice. If you have 20 million customers, you just made your executive bonus's for the year!

Can you tell us what dealership it was?

a local one here in Nevada called Desert BMW of Henderson, the funny thing too is that Desert BMW of Las Vegas the main store here in Vegas earned a top BMWNA store award and I have heard really bad things about them too from numerous family members, friends, and forum members...

Bitching about something before you call and ask the Dealer is just typical. ASK the dealer about it, then bitch you head off if it's unfair. It may be a simple error, but I guess it's easy to bitch about it...

Why are you posting about this on a forum? Pick up the phone, call the dealership/your SA, ask politely. If they don't know what it is or you weren't informed about the charge take them the invoice that says 0 dollars as well as your credit card statement and ask for your money back.

It'll probably be an adim fee for the rental. Our dealer charged one too. But still I agree, it's principle. We always would disclose that.
