Goodwood

Anyone going to Goodwood on Saturday? Perhaps a meetup in the BMW Owners lounge? I'll be the Canadian in a Ferrari hat

If so, I'll try to wander by there around noon (i.e. looking for free food!)

I was there today. Top tip - remember your sunscreen! I didn't and got burned. Lots of shiny new metal floating about (and, in particular, an awful lot of Toyota GT86s), but personally I found wandering around Cathedral Paddock more interesting than the manufacturer stands.

I'll be there Sunday as usual.
Don't expect free food in the BMW owners lounge though, it's paying, just free drinks. I am looking for a nice breakfast location to start the day off so may give it a try in case they at least have nice croissants.

It's always a great day but I don't think there are any particularly interesting new models launched there this year are there? M5, M6, but nothing new shaped although it will be my first chance to look closely at the new 3-series actually.

Well it was a great day. The weather cooperated and the sights and sounds were better than I had hoped for. Here are some BMW specific pics from the day including the new M6, M3 Performance Edition, M6 Vert, M1, and 1996 Mclaren-BMW F1.

Until next year...

I went today, first time ever at Goodwood and thoroughly enjoyed it! Will definately be back next year! Really enjoyed the shops, managed to find somewhere cheap enough to buy a Mercedes Petronas jacket, the same shop was selling actual parts from actual raced F1 cars. £2950 for a rim & Pirelli tyre off a Red Bull F1 car anyone?

Damm went Thursday for the motorshow, managed to get a run up the hill as the driver. One experience to tick off the bucket list. Just a shame it had to be in a peugot and not the m5. Thought at least they let me drive instead of being a passanger

Some great cars the new A class and B class look great the AMG versions should be fun, though after getting a good look at the 330D M sport I think my next car is pretty much decided on. Just have to resist until the LCI as I hope they bring back the LED indicators and lights the orange bulbs looks just nasty comparing to E90 LCI

I went Thursday, thoroughly enjoyed but very sun burnt, I will never learn.

Did anyone have a passenger ride in a Bowler? that looked awesome.
I was going to have a go ont he walk back from the forest, but ended up getting a Skoda Yeti back down the hill.

After Goodwood my new car either boils down to the new Ford Focus ST or an Audi S3 (Current Model)
