Steptronic in manual mode question.

When in manual mode and slowing to a stop the trans will automatically downshift as the car slows. I noticed that when in this mode and arrive at a full stop my display reads M2.
Is this normal or should it downshift all the way to M1?

It's completely normal.

It's normal, but I go to M1 if I'm at a dead stop.

it's totally normal.
Don't downshift to M1 unless you are going very very slow or want to feel your car buck. Not good.
