Chrysler TC.... By Maserati?

Saw this today... Sorry for the horrible pic, it was all I could get.

The emblem on the back looked like Maserati. Left of it, "Chrysler TC" was imprinted. And on the right "by Maserati"

Not sure if this was a real thing or just a joke. Seems a bit farfetched to be a badge switch to make your car look like something it isn't.
