Bloomin Weather!

Is anyone else starting to get well and truly cheesed off with this weather?

I bought an E93, specifically so that I could enjoy top down motoring and it's basically rained for the 10 months I've had it. I could probably count on both hands the number of decent opportunities I've had to go topless.

I'm getting so desperate now I've taken to trying to drop the roof in the few hours in between showers.

Foolishly I believed all the climate change experts who all said the earth was getting warmer, I wish it would bloody hurry up about it!

Yup tis a load of rubbish! Barely get a chance to go outside and give the car a good clean, wax etc!

Maybe you can go topless in the winter when it's not raining!

I'm sure the people whose homes are flooded with four feet of muddy, stinking water will spare you a thought.

If you look at average temperatures over the past 100 years I think its true that the planet on the whole is getting warmer but its only like 1 degrees or something tiny! But as a result of it getting warmer its getting wetter! This is possibly the worst summer I can remember for being wet and miserable.

I think id prefer cooler but dryer!

I got my E92 four weeks ago. I have have washed it by hand three times, and on every occasion it has begun raining within 10 minutes of me finishing with the chamois, I haven't even had chance to polish it :-/

Just trying to have some light hearted banter so thanks for dampening the mood (if that's possible given current conditions).

My heart felt sympathies do of course go out to those who have been adversely affected although one could of course argue at the folly of those people attempting to live in areas which have been prone to flooding for the last few centuries.

Anyway back to the car, I'm not sure why but after it rained the other day it was absolutely covered in mud spots i.e. the rain was actually dirty\muddy. Not sure why as I've never seen rain make it so dirty prior to this.

Yep. same for my Missus. She bought an SLK a few months ago and hasn't used it with the lid off anything like as much as expected.

I feel your pain. I am in the same predicament; had the car nearly 7 months and had the roof down i as many days.

I know I'm in the minority but I think this weather is nice.

Temperature is perfect, not sweaty but still warm enough to wear a t-shirt in the evenings and the rain is keeping the pollen count low!

exactly the same here. I hand wash once a week and it rains just after Ive dried the car off. At least the car stays shiny in the rain.

This was a bit shocking the other week when I came out to see my black car that was washed two days ago covered in spots. I thought I had been targeted by a jealous neighbour until I went for a drive and saw the state of other peoples cars.

I try to grab as much E93 sun as possible because I am paying extra just to carry the weight around. Got to get my moneys worth.

June was the 2nd wettest on record before the torrential rain in the last week of the month had even been measured. Not 100% sure but quite realistically could be the worst June for over 100 years.

Chamois? Chamois? Hang your head in shame and head over to the detailing section of the forum!

I've found the opposite round here - it's been clammy and horrible, day and night. I was hoping the rain would keep the pollen down too, but I've been double dosing on antihistamines for weeks now

So looks like the tropical conditions are set to continue for at least a few more weeks. E93 owners, are we gluttons for punishments buying convertibles in the UK?

I am sure statistics show that the UK is one of the highest buyers of convertible cars. I am seriously beginning to doubt my sanity in buying a convertible in this country though!

+1, my hayfever has been a lot better of late.

I love going for a walk in the lanes or in the garden after a heavy downpour in this weather. And the garden loves it, all this rain/sun/rain/sun is making everything grow really well.

Or even during a downpour is nice when its warm, get the wellys and coat on. The warm evenings are nice too, no heating or fire needed.

There is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing
