Nice, I do like Space grey! is it fresh out the wrapper?
What's the spec? I've been keeping my eye on them but can't find one with the spec I want: heated seats tints Bluetooth Dab I-drive Logic 7/harman kardon DCT box Few people seem to spec Dab...

Very nice mate! Running it in will be painful
According to your signature (which now needs updating) the car was due mid May. Was the delay down to the dealer? BTW Your avatar text also needs updating Enjoy... |

It was a factory issue.... delayed 6 weeks due to a shortage of wheels.

What did you have previously?
I'm wondering how much extra fuel i'd use in a 335i over my 3.0 engined 325i...probably a lot more in the first 6 months honeymoon period!

I used to get circa 400 miles from a tank in the previous one and I'd expect to average 275-300 in the 335i.

I have an 07' 335i and generally average 30mpg....have a heavy foot for a prolonged period of time and thats down to 25mpg. My mate has a 10' plate 320i and he averages 28-30mpg....I think because he finds to get anything out of that engine it has to be pushed. Seems with the petrol cars...maybe expect the M3, the MPG dont change hugely and that it was I found when researching what car to buy and decided I could get a 335i.....never regretted it once. Great cars for mix of performance and economy....(well sort of economy, you know what I mean)...its never going to get 40-50mpg when its 3 litre twin turbo...

28-30mpg?! I don't know how you manage that I get 22-24mpg.
Since ive had the car i tend to get about 270 miles to a full tank. But that's what i expected really. It not too bad considering the type of car it is. It's the town driving that's really hard on fuel. Motorway cruising is fine. In fact how big is the tank on an e92? If its about 14g as I'd of guessed I'm probably closer to 20-21mpg! Again, how the fuck you getting 30?

If Chubbs is the average Bournemouth resident, he'll be 124 years old and drives at 50 mph in the middle lane of the motorway. There's your answer. Those of us up the road in Southampton, different story. We know how to drive hard.......20 mpg at best!
Only jesting; I do mixed driving and average 24 mpg in my 335i - not too bad when you think of the power available. But yeah, if you are sensible on the motorway it'll return 28-29 in my experience. As mentioned, town driving is the killer. Mike. |

Looks amazing SS, lovely pic too. The wheels look very nice. Any reason it has chrome trim?

If on a run on the motorway i've had it up to 35-36mpg! that's driving like a fairy though. Expect 23-26 in a 335i and maybe 30-31 tickling it on a run? Shouldn't be too diss-similar to a 330i on part throtle as the lambda sensor takes over and you're probably on vacuum rather than boost until accelerating.

I'm sure both variants of 335i engine ate boosting even at low rpm and throttle loadings.
